About me!

Hello! My name is Olivia Gauthier (She/Her/Hers) and I am a Honors student at Rochester Institute of Technology. My major in New Media Interactive Development allows me to explore UX/UI, web and mobile development, front-end programming, and so many more aspects of interactive media! I am combining this with a minor in American Sign Language and Deaf Culture Studies to broaden my horizons and explore how I can use my passion to create accessible technologies and accessible web applications.

I am passionate in ensuring that technology, and the places where it is created, it accessible, inclusive, and diverse. I want to make sure accessibility is always brought to the forefront of conversations. So often accessibility is an afterthought, which ends up making it harder to make something accessible. I want to make the world a better place by creating emancipatory technology that allows more people to become connected and thus promote inclusivity and diversity.
